In past three days, torrential rain and flashflood caused 40 dead and 22 missing in the central provinces of Vietnam.
The National Steering Committee on Natural Disaster Prevention said that the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister arrived in Hoa Binh and Ninh Binh to direct the localites to take necessary measures for dealing with the natural disaster.

A landslide in the northern mountainous province of Hoa Binh has buried eight local households, causing nine deaths, while 10 others have been left trapped.The houses which locate in Phu Cuong Commune, Tan Lac District were buried by half of a nearby hill early on Thursday morning.
